ESCOBEDO, MEXICO — A Mexican police officer has been suspended after a risque photo of her in uniform went viral on social media.
Officer Nidia Garcia is based the city of Escobedo in the municipality of Nuevo Leon, in northeastern Mexico. She's a mom of two and, let's be honest, pretty damn hot for a cop.
Garcia reportedly decided to post a half-naked snap of herself to Facebook. However, when the snap was taken, she was in uniform and armed with what appears to be assault rifle, reported Diario Cambio citing ABC Nuevo Leon.
The photo soon went viral and Garcia found herself at the center of a social media firestorm. Mexican authorities soon found out about her and suspended her from the force, pending an investigation.
According to reports, she made a public apology for the "immoral act" of appearing topless in uniform.
Garcia's not the first Mexican cop to cause outrage with online photos. In 2013, two cops were reportedly suspended after photos emerged of them online providing joyrides to ladies in police helicopters, reported the Daily Mail.
